Search for publications in the topic/topics
Search for mentions in a topic
You can search through topics/topics in your account. If you need to find a word/person/company that has been mentioned along with keywords in a certain topic, or to check if a publication has appeared in a topic, use the Search field in the Filters panel.
Step 1. Select the desired topic(s) and click OK.
Step 2. Enter words or phrases in the search field and press the OK button.
That way, you get publications that contain the search word(s) and get to the selected topic. The search results are highlighted in yellow in the publications to find the right word in the text.
The search works throughout the text of the publications, which means you can find important insights even in the longest publications.
Please Note:
- The system automatically detects word endings in the search and finds the same word with a different ending. For a more accurate search, use special characters to specify word endings. Learn more about how to take different word endings into account.
- If you use a long phrase for search (e.g., article title), pay attention that it does not contain unnecessary characters, such as commas, periods, exclamation points and questions. Characters that should be removed from your search query: ! , . ; ? =#№$/\
- Semantrum queries are not case sensitive. That is, queries Kyiv and kyiv will be exactly the same.
Search in all topics
If you want to search for all topics in your account, unselect the topic/topics and click "OK". Next, enter keywords/word combinations into the search field using the
Search Query Language in Semantrum and click "OK."That way, you get publications filtered by keywords/word combinations for all the topics in your account.
Clearing the search field
After you have found the publications you are looking for and processed them, you can go back to viewing all the publications in your account's topic/topics. To do this, click the clear query cross on the filters panel.
Filters and word search are cleared separately. If you clear the search box, the selected filters will still be applied.

What to do if...
You have not found the publication you are looking for:
- Check if there are no errors in your search query, you should pay attention to whether the system does not give an error when searching because of the use of special characters.
- If you don't see a publication from the desired online media in your account, check if the article has keywords that are present in your topic settings. Also check how long the article has been published. If it has not been published for more than 10-30 minutes, the publication may not have been processed yet.
- If keywords are present in your publication and your publication really needs to be included in a topic, please contact your support manager or write in the system chat. Our managers will suggest you why the publication is not in your account and determine the necessary steps to add the source to monitoring in the system.
