Simultaneous browsing of topics can be used if you need to compare topics with each other or find publications in which several objects are mentioned. To compare several topics according to statistics, use the "Graphs" mode (more details
here.)
Viewing publications by all topics
If you wish to view the feed of all your topics, uncheck all topics and click OK.
In this way, you will get the mentions in the feed from all the topics in your account.
Please Note:
- By default, switching between topics clears the filters on the right side of the screen. To switch between the topics while saving the state of the filters, select "Topic with filters" from the topic menu.
- By default, selecting more than one topic means that in the publications feed you will see a list of all the documents belonging to at least one of the selected topics.
- If more than one topic has been selected in the sample, the tonality indicator on the publication can be multicoloured, this means that the document is included in more than one topic at the same time and has a different tonality in regard to the different monitoring objects mentioned in the document. The indicator shows the publication tonality for the selected topics in proportion to the number of times the publication is defined as neutral or negative for the selected topics.
- To unselect on all topics you need to click on the X at the bottom.
- If you see a bar saying "Previous request still in progress!", this means that the system is processing your request, you need to wait a few seconds to view the publication feed and perform the following actions.
Options for displaying several topics
- Displaying publications that are common to all topics
To view publications that are included in several topics at once, e.g. text that mentions Elon Musk and Starlink, etc., select two or more topics, press OK and switch the display type indicator to the left side.
In this way we will receive texts that include Elon Musk and Starlink at the same time in the p
ublications.
This display mode can be used if you want to find publications in which you and your competitors are mentioned at the same time, or if, for example, you are tracking a vaccination topic and want to know how your other topic, such as a pharmaceutical company, is mentioned in that topic.
- Displaying the publications separately for each topic
To see the publications included in at least one of the selected topics, select 2 or more topics, press OK and switch the display type indicator to the right side.
In this way you will get all the publications included in the selected topics. Remember to click OK on your way out.
This display mode is useful if you want to find all publications in which at least one of your competitors or at least one of your brand has been mentioned (if you are tracking them in separate topics).
Enjoy using the Semantrum system!
