Newsletter by comparison of two or more topics

Newsletter by comparison of two or more topics

The standard newsletter settings by topic allow you to subscribe to only one topic. If you need to track several topics from your account, you can subscribe to each of them separately and choose different settings for each topic. You will receive multiple emails (if you have chosen to receive emails via the email channel), separately for each topic.
However, it is also possible to set up one newsletter for several topics. You will receive all mentions by topic in one list (without sorting by topic), and you can also receive a special report - by topic comparison. This report contains basic statistics and graphs. The report can be generated on several topics, from 2 to 5. The report can also be exported from the system at any time. Read more about the automatic topic comparison report.
In order to subscribe to newsletters on multiple topics, you must first create a saved query (more about saved queries) to browse the desired topics and then set up newsletters on this saved query.

How to set up a saved query to compare two or more topics

STEP 1: Select the topics for which you want to receive a topic comparison report.
STEP 2: To save the status of the filters, click the diskette icon   on the Publications operation panel then
STEP 3: Click the Save Query tab.
STEP 4: In the saved query window, review and select the following options:
  1. "Save as existing" - if you already have saved queries, clicking will overwrite the existing query (which you select in the "Select saved query" field)
  2. "Save as new" - save the current request.
  3. You can save the request as public, in which case it can be used by all users of the account, or as private, in which case it will be available only to you.
  4. Enter a name of your request.
STEP 5: Click "Save".

  1. You can receive notifications in real time.
If you want to receive new publications as soon as the publication enters the Semantrum system, tick the "in real-time" box.
