Display of social media metrics

Display of social media metrics

In Semantrum, you can view metrics collected from open data for social media posts.

The system displays the following metrics/data from social media posts:
  1. views (for Facebook and Instagram – only for video posts)
  2. number of likes/reactions
  3. breakdown by reaction types (8 types for Facebook and 9 types for Telegram)
  4. number of reposts/shares
  5. number of comments
  6. author’s age (as specified in their profile)
  7. author’s gender (as specified in their profile)

Notes
Please note:
LinkedIn does not allow access to likes or other post metrics. You can receive such statistics only from the pages you have authorized in the system through BrandVox integration. [Learn more about managing social media monitoring in Semantrum].

Social media metrics in the interface

Quantitative indicators of views, likes/reactions, comments, and shares are displayed on the publication card.

Data is updated within the first 5 days after the post is published (for sources connected to monitoring). In the Semantrum interface, you can see the date of the last update of a post’s metrics. To do this, hover your cursor over the likes/reactions mark or any other metric of interest.

Reaction types in Facebook and Telegram

In Facebook and Telegram, users can use multiple types of reactions instead of just one (like). Semantrum monitors these different types of reactions.

On Facebook, we scan all 8 reaction types.

On Telegram, most standard emojis are aggregated into 9 reaction types. Eight of them correspond to Facebook’s reaction types, and additionally we highlight the clown face reaction.

For example: 👍 💯 👏 🤝 👌 are considered equivalent to the like reaction on Facebook. 🥰 💋 are considered equivalent to the love reaction on Facebook. Learn more about monitoring reactions in Telegram.

On the publication card in the news feed for Facebook and Telegram, the total sum of all reactions is displayed; for other social networks – likes only. Hover over the like icon on the publication card to see the breakdown of reactions across the 9 types.

Social media metrics in .xlsx exports

To obtain complete data on social media metrics, use the export of the publication list in .xlsx format. Learn more about automatic report by topic in Excel.

In the exported files you will receive:
  1. number of views
  2. number of reactions (sum of all types of reactions)
  3. number of reactions by type (like, dislike, love, haha, sad, angry, wow, care, clown face)
  4. number of shares/reposts
  5. number of comments
  6. engagement (sum of all reactions, comments, and shares)
  7. engagement rate (ER – percentage of engagement relative to the page’s audience in the social network)

In the storylies generation mode, the export of story lists in .xlsx format additionally provides data on total views, reactions, comments, and shares of the storyline — i.e., the sum of these metrics for all posts included in the story. Learn more about what is stories generation and how to use it.
